I’m Joycelyn (joss-lynne) and I’m from Cape Town, South Africa.

Originally graduating with a BA Hons. in English Literature from UCT in 2018, I fell into advertising - by accident! I needed a break from academia. So I took up an internship in Johannesburg. And there, was arguably assigned the write role.

Accidentally, or on purpose?)

Perhaps accidentally, I found a purpose.

Then, a second internship came. Later that year, I would go on to sell bread at a farmer’s market. Turns out the lady who sold eggs was a bookkeeper too. She introduced me to the agency where I would have My First Proper Copywriting Job.
Fast-track 4 years later, my career highlights include:
- Scripting 2 TV commercials (& them being made!)
- Witnessing the magic of set life
- Learning the business of creativity

- Discovering sustainable & strategic thinking

- Meeting great minds in interns and seniors alike

I’m looking to explore the world and learn as much as I can from as many people and places as I can.
